Car washes range from self-service bays to express tunnels with monthly memberships. Upholstery shops repair seats, headliners and convertible tops, and restoration shops bring classic and collector cars back to original or custom condition.

McKinney is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around McKinney is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Collin County Customs is a comprehensive hotrod shop that handles everything from complete custom builds and restorations to general maintenance of vintage cars. As a customer for over 10 years, I can attest to their high retention rate and the expertise of their staff, which reflects well on the owners, Cory, and Rob. They are attentive to both employees and customers, setting clear expectations. The owners are approachable and provide regular updates on ongoing projects. Given the shop's busy schedule, it's wise to plan ahead when scheduling services as they are busy, but they are also responsive to emergencies, demonstrating their commitment to customer service. You won’t be disappointed with their services.

These guys are my heroes. I have an old (89) Toyota MR2. It doesn't need much work as it is in great shape but it was finally time for a few things to be done - the most critical being a new exhaust. First and foremost, Collin County Customs was the only shop I could find (out of about 12 I contacted) that even agreed to work on the car. Everyone else passed due to the age. As if just helping wasn't enough they were also able to custom fabricate parts that I couldn't even find. They fixed not only my exhaust but a few other annoyances as well -- including a mystery knocking sound that was driving me nuts. All this for what I would say was a more than fair price -- especially when you consider the calibre of their work. I got the car back after a week and honestly it runs to smooth and so slick now that it feels like a NEW car. I can't thank or recommend these guys enough. Now I need to start saving all my pennies so that I can (hopefully) get them to do a full restoration project one day :)

Rob and his staff did a great job on our 1954 chevy truck. It was at other local shops and they couldn't fix the holley sniper issues. They set it up and it now runs great. Thanks a bunch

Collin County Customs provided the MOST excellent customer service, communication, and quality craftsmanship I have ever experienced with any business. Rob, Cory, and the team were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and patient as I asked questions while they worked on my classic truck. Amazing business. I HIGHLY recommend them for top-notch work in restoration, repair, and fabrication.
